Chef Tod brings over 35 years experience in the local Food and Beverage Industry including 25yrs as Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage of both stand-alone restaurants and resorts. He started his career at just 16 years old at a restaurant called Central Park in the Dominion Hotel and completed his Red Seal Apprenticeship at 23. This lead to becoming part of the opening team at Olympic View Golf Course where he was Executive Chef from 1992-2003.  He was promoted to Corporate Chef for Golf BC to oversee all of their 8 golf courses. He then moved on to Bear Mountain Golf Resort to be the first Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage where he designed and launched the food and beverage program for the first clubhouse.  In 2005 he was presented the opportunity to be Executive Chef and be part of the team that designed, renovated and launched the Hotel Rialto and Veneto Tapa Lounge. In the first year of operation it was nominated "Canada's Best New Restaurants" by Where Magazine. He continued on as Executive Chef until 2018 when he returned to the Westin Bear Mountain and Spa as Director of Food and Beverage. As of June of 2020 he is the Executive Chef for Refire Kitchen.
